Louise Morgan

Clinic Director & Chartered  Musculoskeletal Specialist Physio, Lower Quadrant

Louise Morgan

Louise took over Chichester Physiotherapy in December 2016. Having graduated with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy in 1996, Louise has specialized in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy for over 20 years. She started her physio career in Manchester where she experienced treating a wide variety of NHS patients and professional athletes. Louise enjoyed 5 years as a senior physiotherapist at BUPA Hospital Manchester, working closely with the orthopaedic surgeons, rehabilitating post-operative patients, and developing a special interest in biomechanics and lower limb rehabilitation. Louise returned to her roots on the South Coast in 2006, working for what was Sussex Community Trust, initially as an Outpatient Team Leader at St Richard’s Hospital, and finishing as an "Extended Scope Practitioner" specialising in backs, hips and knees. Louise decided to switch to private practice, allowing her to set up a team of like-minded physios, who are passionate about giving patients the time, treatment and support, they need, when they need it.

Louise loves teaching Pilates classes and treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions in clinic. She is trained in the use of acupuncture for pain relief and has a master's module in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy of the lower quadrant. Her expertise is in the diagnosis and management of conditions affecting the spine, hip and knees.

Louise is passionate about health and fitness, and has tried most sports and fitness trends over the years. She played netball and swam competitively in her youth. Having experienced her fair share of injury and pain, Louise now keeps fit with regular Pilates, CrossFit, and dog walking / running, and less frequent skiing and paddle-boarding. She hopes to lead by example, supporting and motivating her patients to keep fit and strong, as part of their treatment for existing aches and pains, and in order to prevent new ones.
